I had my knee surgery done here with ACL reconstruction and meniscus rapier by Dr. Pace, Dr Hussain with anesthesia and my experience was wonderful. Hadeel my pre-op nurse took care of me before my surgery and Courtney was my OR nurse. Everyone was kind, compassionate and understanding! Thank team at Live Oak!

Ophelia wants you to pay an “estimated” bill upfront with 16 hour prior notice and then proceed to be very rude and gaslight you minutes before having your child go under for surgery. How can you go to bed at night in good conscience knowing you harass parents of children who need medically necessary surgeries with an “estimated bill”. I have never seen such a thing in my life. Shame on you!!! Parents, go elsewhere because this company is money hungry! They couldn’t care less about the wellbeing of your child and given the way the receptionist alone speaks to you the day of a scary surgery for your baby, I can’t imagine going through with it and it getting any better once you pass through those doors. To be treated in such a way is disgusting. Ophelia, you must truly hate your life. You must not have a child and you clearly don’t have a good heart. What goes around comes around. The way you treat these families and the way you treat poor Melissa, your own colleague at the front, with zero compassion, zero concern, zero empathy, and zero respect - shame on you. Children’s Health, please do us all a favor and take this company out of your beautiful and outstanding facility. This horrible company does not stand with your Mission!!

I had the best experience possible. Each person I encountered at Live Oak Surgery Center was warm and engaging . RNs Shannon and Courtney, Anesthesiologist Dr. Foster, and my surgeon, Dr. Abbaschian. Thanks for getting me through my procedure and making sure I had the best care. 10/10!

AVOID THIS SURGERY CENTER: REAS BELOW. • We had a surgery scheduled, and the office called us only 24 hours before to suddenly tell us we owed an estimated bill. • We showed up and explained that this charge was sprung on us last minute with no prior notice. • We pointed out that the amount was not itemized and was clearly just an estimate. • We stated we were fully prepared to pay after the procedure is complete, once an accurate, itemized bill is issued. • Ophelia came upfront and rudely claimed we said the staff “didn’t do their jobs” which was never said and was a clear projection. • Ophelia insisted we were “aware” of the bill, despite us learning about it only 24 hours prior. • Ophelia spoke passive-aggressively to Melissa and was unprofessional throughout the interaction with my family. • Ophelia gave attitude to me and my family instead of offering clarity or assistance. • Ophelia made it seem as though we were refusing surgery, which was not true. • Ophelia repeatedly put words in our mouths instead of listening to what we were actually saying. • Instead of clearly breaking down the charges, she did not provide any real explanation or options. • Ophelia shifted into a used car salesman–style negotiation, which felt completely inappropriate for a medical setting. • Ophelia dropped the “required payment” from 100% to 75% to 50% in a matter of seconds, making the process feel manipulative and unserious. It was genuinely the most bizarre and unprofessional financial interaction I’ve ever experienced in a medical environment.

Every staff member was extremely kind and compassionate. It was obvious that they were skilled at their jobs, and they made me feel reassured that the surgery would go well. Every step from check in to discharge was smooth, and they anticipated my needs during my overnight stay. The facility was also clean and relaxing. Overall, I was very happy with my experience and I am grateful to the wonderful nurses who took care of me.
