I came in to the Euclid Endoscopy Center yesterday, April 22, for an upper endoscopy. Here’s a bit of background on me before I begin my review to provide context for why this place deserves all 5-stars, if not more……. I’d had one of these same procedures a few years ago, at a different location, and it was the absolute WORST experience of my life. The sedation I was given did not even sort of work - I was FULLY awake the entire time, gagging and choking on the scope that was down my esophagus.. Afterwards, I was told that I was extremely difficult to sedate and they made it sound as though it was more or less somehow MY fault that the procedure went the way that it did. Needless to say, the experience was beyond traumatizing. So when my doctor told me last week that I needed another upper endoscopy, I nearly fell out of my chair & thought I was going to have a panic attack on the spot! I was SO SCARED about my upcoming procedure that I actually had nightmares about it, worrying that I’d soon be reliving my previous experience.. Walking into the Euclid Endoscopy Center, I couldn’t have been more terrified - but the nurses and doctors were BEYOND kind and understanding about it. I have extremely tiny veins which also have a lot of valves in them, which makes me a very very difficult person to put an IV into.. My nurse Victoria was so sweet and chatted with me about my puppy the entire time to help distract me while they worked on putting in my IV. Then the anesthesiologist, Rachel (I apologize if I misspelled her name), came to explain how the procedure would go. I expressed my fears to her about my past experiences, and again she could not have been more kind, understanding and reassuring that they would make sure I was perfectly comfortable and entirely asleep before they began. They rolled me into the procedure room and admittedly, once they put the mouth guard in my eyes widened and I did begin to panic somewhat.. Rachel laid her hand on my shoulder and the last thing that I remember hearing was her telling me that I was safe, I was in a safe place, that she wasn’t going to leave my side and that she was going to take care of me. Rachel didn’t have to do any of those things - she could have simply done the bare minimum like some people do - but she went above and beyond to ease my anxiety. Her kindness made a WORLD of difference for me and I cannot overstate my gratitude!! Thank you SO MUCH to Rachel and Victoria for everything that you did to make my experience so wonderful

You are correct; they rarely answer the phone or return requested calls. In addition, the information provided is often inaccurate and unprofessional.

This place is awful. They never answer the phone nor do they return voice mail. The failed to inform me that I could eat jello and drink apple juice during my prep time so essentially starved and was miserable. The day of the procedure it took 3 nurses to get an IV line in my arm. They didn't offer anti nausea medicine with my anesthesia and I was very sick afterwards. I do not recommend this place
