Probably the best experience I’ve ever had in a medical office. Everyone at the front desk and the nurses were very cordial yet professional. NP Shalese Aycock was the most pleasant and personable NP or Dr I’ve ever encountered. I knew early on that she had my best interest at heart and was going to do whatever it took to make me well. I didn’t feel like a number or a $. She took her time and answered all my questions and explained everything thoroughly and honestly. I’m feeling 100% better and have another procedure to be completed soon. I’m actually not dreading it Great Practice !!! & by the way I’m no spring chicken I’ve seen lots of medical folks.
Very knowledgeable and professional. I saw the PA Michael and was impressed with the time and care he took with me addressing my issue. He stopped one medication and added two others and I have seen almost immediate results. I would highly recommend this practice as I have also seen doctor Losee and have nothing but good things to say regarding him as well. The office staff is friendly yet professional and accommodating as well.
My wife was the patient, but I thought we were well treated and respected. I would have no problem recommending this office to my family members.
To mt surprise, it was discovered by a CT scan in June, 2025, when I was preparing to have a TAVR that I probably had a very small renal carcinoma on my left kidney. It was suggested that I see a urology after my heart valve replacement in July. I was referred to SGMC Urology. Wanting to gather as much information as possible in order to discover my options on how to treat my cancer and make a decision on how to proceed, I accepted the referral. But, I couldn't see Dr. Losee until November! Instead, I was able to see his PA in August.. She had read my reports in advanced and offered a wait-and-see approach until I saw Dr. Losee in November when he would order an MRI and offer a defined treatment. At my insistence I had the MRI taken in August. which supported the findings of the CT scan. Meanwhile, being concerned and again wanting to gather enough information on my options for treatment, I asked to be referred to and saw Dr. Jason Burnette and Dr. Eric Webb at Archibold Urology in Thomasville in October for an opinion. They had read the reports well in advance, offered me options, but said I couldn't have anything done to deal with the cancer until 6 months after my heart procedure because I needed to be on blood thinners for that duration, which was supported by my cardiologist, Dr.George Staton. I made a return appointment for late January to discuss a possible partial robotic nephrectomy to excise the cancer. Because I was not comfortable with having the cancer in my body, because I live in Valdosta and because my wife cannot drive, I decided to keep my appointment with Dr.Losee thinking I'd have the necessary procedure at SGMC. First, in the course of my conversation with Dr. Losee--towards the end--I and my wife unhappily learned he had not read the CT scan and MRI reports in advance as had Drs. Burnette and Webb. Instead, we small talked as he pulled up the scans and read the reports for the first time on the fly as we talked. I'm not sure he and his PA discussed my situation in advance. It seemed that he did not. Second, we were stunned when Dr.Losee said that he does not perform the type of surgery I would need should I decide to have the surgery, which his PA had not mentioned--and should have. We immediately felt I we were wasting my time. And, finally, after hearing his comments and reading his notes on MY CHART, I got the distinct impression --and I hope I am wrong--that he was not happy--perhaps brusquely and wasting his time!-- that I was shopping around for urologists, that is, seeking at least a second opinion. To put it mildly, both I and my wife walked away from our meeting quite annoyed, to say the least, that my situation was not handled professionally, appropriately, and respectfully! Needless to say, I would not step foot in SGMC Urology again.
Mike Kuo was professional and very thorough! Angela was great too! Thank you all. Seamless visit. Our nurse was excellent cannot remember her name!
