7 providers on record
Between the surgery center and pain clinic, I have been seeing Dr Haas, Dr Will and Sally Kangas for nearly 10 years. Occasionally I’ve seen another provider last minute if Sally wasn’t available. They are all great. Appointments are quick, but still address all concerns. I’ve always heard back from online portal messages I’ve sent in an extremely timely manner I have done injections, med management, spinal cord stim, intra-pain management, coordinated care with outside providers and services, and received general overall support from them. Going in on the worst of days and not feeling judged or shoo-ed out of the door really matters to patients, and there have been times where they’ve said “feel free to stay here as long as you need to” when I’ve been in total meltdown mode. I moved out of state briefly and came back because the medical care I was receiving there was so subpar compared to MN’s care. TCPC & surgery center is one of the places I’ll continue to be a patient at, probably until I die. My one, and only tiny minor complaint, is hold times are extremely long to get the nurse line at the surgery center. There isn’t a scheduling number available directly to the surgery center online (not that I’ve been provided with anyway, so maybe that’s my problem?) The number available online directs you to the pain clinic. So when you need to speak with a surgery nurse, you wait for the pain clinic to pick up, transfer to the clinic nurse which often takes a while, and they transfer to the surg nurse which 9.8/10 times goes to voicemail. I wish you could just speak directly with the surgery scheduler and bypass the first 15-20 mins of calls/waiting at the clinic, especially if it’s urgent. Highly recommend both places!
I went to TCPC for about 8 years when Nancy Cleveland NP was there. Everyone was so AMAZING. I would recommend this place always. I am going back now to get my Nuerostimulator taken out. Haven't used it for years. Now I saw Carrie VanOverbeke NP Again, She is AMAZING as well. These people are the BEST of the BEST. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Thanks TCPC!!
First time I went through with a pain management procedure which was an Epidural Steroid Injection. I was quite anxious about the idea as I hadn’t undergone anything similar before. After speaking with the nursing staff and Dr. Will prior to the procedure, I was able to learn more about the process and what to expect. It was evident that everyone involved had a great deal of experience and knowledge which allowed me to ease up. The procedure was quick and easy and directions thereafter on the recovery process were clearly laid out. I received a phone call the following day from a member of the staff checking in which I appreciated. I’m happy to have found complete pain relief within 3 days.
I love this place and trust them implicitly. Dr. Haas has done many procedures and all of them have helped immensely. Suzanna, a nurse there, is my angel. She is one of the only nurses that can get the i.v. needles.in on the first time. She has the best humor and I love it when she is there. Another staff I think very highly of is Ken, an anesthesiologist, because he is so kind and gentle. I feel very safe when he is working on me. Unfortunately, when I got home from my last surgery I had a long review written up on some scrap paper that I was going to type as my review but when I was in the hospital and rehab for my back, my husband started cleaning up and threw it out. I had spent a lot of time on the review.that I was going to type in for the review. Unfortunately I ended up falling 6 times and ended up in the hospital and then a rehab facility for my back. I am going to need surgery which will happen as soon as things can get arranged. I appreciate all the things the Twin Cities Pain Clinic have done for me to keep me from having surgery this long.
Had my first epidural steroid injection yesterday, I had a TON of anxiety prior to my appointment. The staff was phenomenal! They did everything in their power to make sure I was comfortable and my needs were met. During the procedure Dr. Haas and staff were diligent, I was thoroughly impressed with their practices and kindness. Everyone was on the same page before they started the procedure, talking out loud making sure I also knew what was going on. I was also concerned about a potential allergy to corticosteroids, they had me pre-medicate with Benadryl and started with a half dose to be safe then monitored me in the recovery room for 10-15 minutes. This was the best experience I could ask for. Thank you so much for your professionalism and authentic care.
