I come here quite often for Spinal Rhizotomy’s and Injections. Dr. Lankford has been my doctor for years and him and his staff are always so amazing. Bethanie (RN), Makayla (RN), & Jen (RN), & Cirone (anesthesiologist ) are so sweet and took amazing care of me. I could mor of asked for a better care team . I have had both Jen and Makayla multiple times and would recommended them to anyone. I cannot say better things about this facility.
Excellent surgical center. Staff was friendly when I got there and walked me through everything. They were even nice when I woke up and I'm not the best of people coming out of anesthesia. I've had 26 surgeries and this was by far one of the best facilities and staff including over hospitals stays. I would go back.
Dr Lee and staff is amazing! Nurse Jen and op nurse Jackie are the best! Anesthesiologist Geis was wonderful as well!
Absolutely phenomenal experience with my 14yr old son. Check-in was smooth and efficient. I LOVE that they give you a tracking number to monitor your loved ones status while in surgery, along with text messages. Beth was our preop nurse, and she totally made my son feel safe and comfortable. The surgery nurse, Bryan, came by an introduced himself and was extremely comforting. Then the anesthesiologist, Dr. Shannon Cooke came out and talked to us about her goal for anesthesia and pain control. Dr. Zavala came around and shook our hands and reassured us of the procedure plan again as well. In recovery we had some of the finest nurses. Gunner, Ashley and Kacey were hands down the best. They made sure that my son ate, drank and that his pain was controlled. They reassured us that we could manage his care at home and very carefully went through our home care instructions. To a scared 14 year old boy, this was the best experience we could have asked for! They made my momma heart feel so comfortable!
A miscommunication by YOUR team regarding YOUR policy ruined the experience. While all of the nurses, office staff & others were friendly, our experience with the billing department was inexcusable. Our insurance is not great, so we opted for self-pay. We were told that 50% of the total was due prior to operation, and the remaining 50% could be paid over 3 months. The day before the surgery, we were told this was not the case, and they sent us their policy in writing. Evidently, you can only do that if you're paying with insurance. An absolute scam. You're punished for NOT paying with insurance. I regret choosing Texas Health Surgery Center & will definitely look elsewhere next time. 1 star for the friendly people. -4 stars for the overall experience & extortion of payment.
