My son had surgery this morning here and I cannot recommend this facility enough. The front desk staff were incredibly kind. The back office insurance / billing were so understanding and helpful as well the weeks leading up to the procedure. The nurses at this facility are absolutely next level. They gave my child’s stuffy a hospital bracelet to match his. They were so patient and great with my sweet two year old. If any of my family needs any more procedures done we will definitely be using this facility.

Had a very positive experience here from start to finish! The entire staff is lovely - so kind and gentle and attentive! I don’t recall his name, but my preop nurse was amazing - hilarious, kind, gentle, and a pro at putting in an IV! I felt very well cared for and have only positive things to say.

they don’t give you any notice of the time of your procedure until the afternoon before. this was extremely frustrating to find someone to pick me up and take me home as i have no family in athens and im only here for uga. they wouldn’t work with me to allow an uber or something to take me home so i had to desperately find one of my college student friends and hope they weren’t busy on a Friday. the process of getting me on the bed for anesthesia seemed rushed and waking up was extremely rushed. i was told what they found while still waking up, didn’t really have much told to me about what to do afterwards, and was consistently tapped to be woken up and told to open my eyes. they then left my room/curtain area and told me to get dressed. they never offered assistance or asked if i needed any - considering i was just waking up. i also asked one of the nurses when i can begin smoking next since i smoke marijuana frequently. one of the nurses just told me “smoking is bad.” as if that answered my question. i’m inquiring because i want to be safe, not to ask your opinion. after putting on my clothes on my own, i wasn’t offered any walking assistance to get to the car. i’ve previously been in wheelchairs or had nurses assist me walking to the car, but they didn’t do that. they also told me to stop taking one of my medications. i had to go to the ER the following week, to which i was put back on the same med.

I was recently charged nearly $1,000 for a "Facilitation Fee," which was separate from the "Anesthesia Fee." It didn’t come as a shock that I needed to do the procedure—my doctor recommended it to make sure I didn’t have cancer. But the crazy fees? That’s what got me. This came as a shock, especially since I have and pay for health insurance every month through Meritain Health (an Aetna company). The fact that I’m paying for insurance every month, only to be hit with such high out-of-pocket costs, highlights how broken the healthcare system in the U.S. truly is. It’s disheartening to see how difficult and expensive it is to access basic care, even when you’re doing everything "right" by having insurance. The system feels like a joke, and it’s clear that meaningful reform is desperately needed.
