Dr. Lowe and staff are wonderful, this was my first colonoscopy, I was not nervous or worried at all. The whole process from making my first appointment, to meeting Dr. Lowe for the first time, to scheduling the procedure, to getting the correct prep prescriptions, to the actual procedure, to the after care follow up. I am more then happy I was referred to Sonoran Endoscopy and Dr. Lowe. Thank you Sonoran Endoscopy for making everything easy!!
SG team is 'mahvelous' .. from Jacob, Jordan, Kennedy and Tatum on the front/back end; Kelly (prep nurse) is an Angel (barely felt the IV dongle during insertion); Andrea in the OR (apologies if I have this wrong); my recovery nurse (apologies that I didn't get your name but you're a 'salty one'); Michael w the 'juice' (anastesia), and of course Dr. Lowe .. I was a mess 3-4 years ago (health-wise) but now I'm in OK shape for a 73 year 'old fart' w issues .. if you have these people as part of your health team (I have 6 in my corner that turned my health around), consider yourself "lucky" to be able to still enjoy what life has to offer ..
My Father had his first colonoscopy with Dr. Adam Lowe at the end of July. Dr. Lowe and his team were amazing, very kind and made us feel comfortable with the whole procedure. Big shout out to Minerva who answered all my questions and let me call her with my concerns and never made me feel like a burden. All around fantastic experience!
VETERANS BEWARE! I was referred here for community care. Had a colonoscopy and endoscopy done. Dr. Lowe was great. The billing department has no idea what they're doing. Wish I could give 5 stars for service and 0 stars for the headaches their billing department has caused. Here we are six months after the procedures, and they're still sending me a $16,041 bill. I've literally spent hours on the phone with at least a dozen people trying to figure out how to correct the problem. I was told by Suzy in the billing dept back in late August that she had it figured out.......... Just received another bill in the mail! I've reached my tipping point, and will likely be taking legal action for this continued unlawful harassment. If you're a Veteran referred to this place, I'd recommend finding somewhere else within the VA network for community care.
The actual procedure was fine and no problems there, however the staff left much to be desired. First of all, I show up for my pre-appointment early. After sitting in the waiting room until past the start time for the procedure I had to go up and inquire just how far behind they were, as of course there's no incentive to be up front about delays in the medical field where the patients time has zero value to the professionals, or so it seems. But the real issue was post-procedure. Every single other patient was allowed their loved one to go back to see them during recovery, accept my wife. The excuse? She had our child with her. Except our child wasn't with her, she was waiting with my mother in law in the car. There was no reason for not allowing my wife back there other than pure discrimination. The worst part, when the staff was confronted about this there was zero apology. I am deeply disturbed by this blatant disregard for equity and their willingness to hid behind such obvious excuses to cover their inappropriate behavior. I am disgusted and appalled and I hope that this review makes other patients aware of the possible discriminatory treatment they may face here. Update: I have additionally filled an HHS complaint against this organization.
