I visited Dr. Middleton's office today as a new patient and highly recommend him! He is quite personable and knowledgeable. I researched and read multiple reviews when I decided to make an appointment in Rome. His reviews were the best, and now I see why.
Just want to let you all know that I was here in 2019 and again in 2025 with some nerve issues that later got severely worse this year. On both occasions I saw Dr. Middleton who diagnosed me with peripheral neuropathy. In the most recent visit, I could hardly walk. I asked to be referred to a neurologist and he refused to do it. On both instances he said, here son, just take some Lyrica (a scheduled narcotic with side effects and dependence) and you'll feel great. "It's just a mild case of peripheral neuropathy" he said. The last time. I didn't take it. I almost ended up in the hospital when things got worse. I went to my primary care doctor who thought I might have had a stroke. Immediately rushed me into imaging to be safe then got me into see a neurologist finally. Then had an MRI. And guess what, Dr Middleton. It wasn't peripheral neuropathy. It was Multiple Sclerosis. That's the difference between a specialist and a pill pusher. I could have been treated sooner with the disease modifying therapies had I just gone to the right doctor to begin with.
I had a horrible experience with the last podiatrist I went to years ago near Redmond. I decided to check all reviews before going to another one in Rome. When I met Dr. Brian Middleton it was like a breath of fresh air after what I had been through! He was very knowledgeable and found my proper diagnosis that fit every symptom I had. I was so relieved that he figured it out and really cared and wanted to help me. He always has a big smile on his face, friendly,calming and caring. His staff is also excellent, friendly, attentive and cares about the patients too. This is the best place in Rome to go to if you have foot problems.Thanks , for all you do Dr.Middleton and your staff🙂
