First Coast Orthopedic Center

I had surgery on 3/5/26. The entire staff is the best I've ever encountered. Everyone was caring and compassionate. When I went to pre-op, recovery and postop the nursing staff were compassionate, caring and highly professional without exception. This was hands down the best surgical experience I have ever encountered.

I had surgery at First Coast Surgery Center on 2/17/26 and could not have had a better experience. From start to finish, the care was exceptional. Aspen, my pre op nurse, was incredibly kind and calming. We had such a good conversation that truly helped ease my anxiety before going back. Jessica, my post op nurse, was just as wonderful. She was attentive, compassionate, and made me feel very safe and cared for during recovery. The anesthesia team was hands down the best I have ever had… and this was my ninth surgery. Alex, the nurse anesthetist, went above and beyond to make sure I did not experience the severe nausea I typically have after anesthesia. He listened, took my history seriously, and adjusted my care accordingly. I woke up feeling stable and comfortable, which is not my usual experience. Every single person I encountered was professional, warm, and reassuring. I am so grateful for the level of care I received. Highly recommend.

The facility is exceptional, providing a wonderful experience in a clean and sterile environment. Dr. Snyder, Dr. Richardson, and the entire support staff are not only friendly but also demonstrate a high level of proficiency in their roles. Their excellent bedside manners and knowledgeable professionalism contribute significantly to the overall positive atmosphere.

I just had my surgery on Friday and was promised a phone call the next day. It is now Tuesday. And I have yet to receive any phone call from anyone at first Coast surgery center. The anesthesiologist was wonderful and very funny. She put me out really fast. For her I'd give five stars. I'm just very disappointed. I live alone and if it weren't for my sister staying with me a couple of days I would have had nobody. Since Sunday I have I had nobody and not even the in home nursing care has responded. This isn't my first time having surgery. I've had many others that have been very diligent. But this is my first time with first Coast surgery.

Wow. Simply wow! I"m so thankful I found my doctor - Gavan Duffy @ SOS- and this facility after my move to Florida. I couldnt be happier with the outcome of my hip surgery. My surgical team was friendly, funny, accommodating and so knowledgeable. My doctor and team were A* from start to finish. After the operation any issues (minor)that came up, they promptly assisted me with answers. Cleanliness of the facility was top notch and the instructions before surgery to check for bacteria plus physical cleaning for 2 days beforehand plus the day of surgery for myself relieved any concerns.
