Great care from the time of check-in for my Rotator Cuff surgery up until the time of my discharge! Everyone involved in my care from Dr. Kitay, my surgeon, Dr.De la Torre (Anesthesia) & all my Pre Op, Operative & Post Op nurses: Ashley, Erica, Kari, Shauna & Yana, were all professional, friendly, attentive to my needs, informative & excellent! I had an arthroscopic labrum repair on 17 September 2025, and scared as I was for my first surgery, it couldn’t have gone better. I had the privilege of being worked on by Dr Kaplan, who was the definition of a kind and caring professional. Same for his team. The staff there was warm, kind, and reassuring at all times. I was checked in and promptly seen and treated like a VIP it seemed. They answered all my questions and asked me the to confirm what I was having done. The center itself was very nice and they were very accommodating to me. Dr Kaplan then came in and reassured me before I was wheeled into the OR one last time before his team took over. Naturally I was still a little nervous so at any point in time I had no less than two team members in with me talking to me and keeping me relaxed. Never felt my IV go in which was lovely, Hannah was an absolute pro and a fast an easy stick. Pete was my anesthesiologist and not only does his light hearted demeanor brighten the place, but I was also in an out slightly ahead of schedule, going down at 9:23 am, and then being wheeled out at 12:31 pm with an effective nerve block and minimal discomfort. I can’t say enough good about what they’ve done for me. The icing on the cake was the next day Dr Kaplan took the time to call me from his personal cell to check in with me and see how I was doing. If I was ever hurt again, I would trust Dr Kaplan and his team to completely rebuild me from the ground up.
From the moment you walk in you feel safe and cared for. The staff is amazing, offering humor, compassion and knowledge as appropriate. I have a lot going on medically and felt secure that I was listened to. I highly recommend this surgery center.
I have had some really bad past experiences with surgeries. First off, Allison was very helpful getting me all scheduled and setup. I went into Centurion Surgery Center very worried about how everything was going to go. Prior to the surgery I visited the surgery center to ask some questions. The ladies at the registration and check in desks are amazing. They listened to every story I told of my scary surgeries and offered emotional support. They made me feel at ease right away and didn't rush me away. Even though I explained my past experience, I wasn't expecting for anyone to actually listen or care. They assured me that they would make sure I would be treated with the best of care when I came in for the surgery. When I did arrive the day of the surgery the entire surgical team from the front desk, nurses, anesthesiologist, surgeon (Dr. Hanes), and I'm sure many more team members I can't remember, were very attentive and made me feel the most comfortable before, during and after the surgery. When I made it to recovery, I was afraid that they would rush me out the door, but my experience was the complete opposite. When I asked the nurse to allow me to take a few minutes to get myself together, she gave me something to drink and eat, closed the curtain and left. I wanted to cry from the relief I felt to just be given that time to feel human again. I was able to wake up, get dressed and call for the nurse to escort me out without feeling pressured to rush out the door. Every Doctor, Nurse or team surrounding them anywhere should take note and should understand that this is very important to a patient and giving me the grace to get myself together was a blessing I will never forget. Thank you all so very much for giving me a positive experience and thank you all for taking away that fear that I have carried with me for such a long time.
