THE BEST!!! The staff is so sweet, caring & informative to make you feel comfortable. I had my 1st surgery ever (Shoulder Rotator Cuff) & the care they showed was amazing. From the check in, to the nurses, anesthesiologist, Dr. Iknard Jr., to recovery 🙏🏼 Thank you so much. Lord willing ill be back this time again next year for my other shoulder. I will not go no where else. Thank you 😊
I recently had surgery at the Tuscaloosa Surgical Center, and honestly, the experience was excellent. From the very first moment, the staff was very attentive and professional, explaining each step of the procedure and making sure I felt comfortable and at ease. My recovery has gone exactly as they described, and I'm truly grateful to the team. If anyone needs a surgical procedure in a trustworthy environment, I definitely recommend it.
The staff at the intake/front desk are astronomically RUDE. Completely dismissive and inconsiderate. Simple questions seem to annoy them. My mother is having surgery here and I inquired as to a phone call I received and the rude lady at the desk answered as if I was asking for her first born…very short and snippy. This is not the care that nurse staff should be demonstrating. Would not recommend.
My mother had cataract surgery there twice. The first time was wonderful. But the second was horrible. Nurse was rude to my mother, rude and combative with me, and I witnessed her berating other patients and family members. She refused repeatedly to take my mother to the restroom. Another nurse finally came over and took her. She yelled at me stating she had to observe my mother for 30 minutes due to her having had a general anesthesia, but when she got so ugly it had been 55 minutes since my mother had been brought into recovery. All I had said was in response to the nurse who finally helped my mother that I hadn’t gotten her discharge information and I was waiting on those instructions. Again, the first surgery was smooth, gentle, and I was kept informed of what was happening. The second was a nightmare in recovery. Pre-op was smooth and attentive.
Routine colonoscopy. Do NOT go here you if you have sleep apnea or any other underlying condition, however minor. Though they claim to have the proper equipment in case something goes wrong, they will not notice or care if there are complications. It is not quality care- they try to get people in and out as quickly as possible, and do not monitor people well enough to know when there's an issue. I will never go back. Don't risk it.
They offer a variety of multi-specialty surgical procedures, tailored to meet the needs of their patients.
Please bring your insurance information and any necessary personal items, and ensure you have someone to drive you home post-surgery.
The duration of your surgery will depend on the specific procedure, but their team will provide you with an estimated time during your pre-operative consultation.
