The primary "care" providers lack empathy. The Dr for my initial visit AND the Nurse practitioner for my follow up visits just sit down and literally type what you tell them, which I can easily do for them through MyChart if they weren't going to bill me for messaging them there and would save me the trips, very detached. They prescribed me a medication that was supposed to help but I ended up getting all the negative symptoms after months of taking it and when I called to let them know what was happening I was told that I would get a call back but after 2 days I called back and they told me that they unsuccessfully tried to call and that they left me a message but I never got a missed call nor voicmail, and that it was unlikely that the medication would cause the side effects while medical papers and other people's experiences say otherwise online, and to go to the ER if it gets worse. I have an upcoming appointment but honestlyI am not looking forward to it.

My experience with this facility was extremely disappointing. During my entire pregnancy, I only received one ultrasound. As a Black woman, I often felt uncomfortable walking in—people would turn and look at me like I didn’t belong. They repeatedly changed my appointment times, sometimes the day before. The doctors came across as aggressive, and the front-desk staff showed very little care or concern for anything I tried to communicate. Management wasn’t any better. After they moved to the new building, things actually got worse. I should have listened to the warnings, but Good Samaritan was too full for me to get in. This place provided such poor service that it made me not want to ever go through pregnancy again.

They took really good care of me when I got my sterilization surgery in November 2022

I scheduled an appointment for July 18th at 3:15, maybe 3-4 weeks in advance. I was called on July 15th that my appointment could be moved up to 2:30 on July 18th, I agreed. On July 17th at 10:00am I was called by one of the nurses telling me that I would need to come in at 9:30am on the 18th for "Labs" so they could get a specimen of the fluid in my knee. I asked the nurse so I will need to come in at 9:30, do I have to arrive early? No. I then asked so I will have to come in at 9:30 on top of my appointment at 2:30? Yes. The 18th finally arrives and I show up at 9:22, and I ask the receptionists where I have to go for my appointment, they tell me to walk down the hall, I arrive to the wrong receptionists, but I didn't know that at the time. I end up signing up for "Labs" but it was for bloodwork and I wait in line, turns out I'm not scheduled for bloodwork and I'm informed I missed my appointment at 9:30, I've been marked as a "no show" on my account with the hospital. I go back the receptionist and explain the situation I am then led to the correct receptionist at around 9:40-9:45. I explain my situation and I am told that I missed my appointment for my knee drainage. ??? What, but the 9:30 appointment was for labs? Actually, no, it was for my main operation and there is no appointment at 2:30 anymore. After about 5 minutes of waiting the receptionist tell me that she has double-booked me for 9:00am on July 25. I am left shocked and speechless, at no point in the phone call on July 17th were the words "Your appointment for 2:30 needs to be rescheduled for 9:30" ever spoken. I was given less than 24 hours notice, not informed of the correct operation time, and I was not told to show up early for this appointment. I now have to endure the pain in my knee for another week, after a whole month of waiting. My advice, when you are asked to reschedule, SAY NO! Record every phone call you get from this hospital! Always get the name of whoever is talking to you. Most of all, consider going somewhere else.

Today I had an out-patient procedure at your facility the medical care that I received today was simply deporable. In 30 years of my career now retired as a Operations Team Manager for Kaiser Permanente former Administrator/CFO of Hospitals & Medical Groups in San Diego I have never felt racially discriminated and having put through trauma in the operating room as my IV would not flush it was put in very tight so they had to switch out my IV in my right arm to my left arm. Here is a timeliness of what occurred to me at Tri Health on 2/17/25 at 6:15 a.m....... I was brought back to my room one of the nurses recognized me as I was there in January for a procedure and let me pause and give flowers to the amazing staff that day. The nurse got me settled then another nurse who recognized me was the one who performed the IV insertion. The first nurse asked me if I have ever had a problem with finding a vein for an IV I replied I have never had a problem look at my records it states I have NEVER had any problem with an IV. The second nurse says she remembers me and I did have a problem now at this point in time not feeling the vibe as she is thinking of another Black Woman who had a problem but it was not me and we don't all look alike moving on...She then felt my arm for a few seconds she first puts in IV on my hand very painful as it was not working she pulled it out then says your vein is good in your arm well puts in the IV again I said I have never had a problem with an IV I have had 4 back surgeries in all of my records it does not state that fact this nurse was sure that it was me.... Let me just say at this time I had my phone on me and with this vibe best believe I had someone on the phone listening and recording as the nurse never brought back my cousin that was with me my cousin called me to say that she was getting no responses from anyone so I was all alone there were only 2 patients checking in that early in the morning the patient that was next to me her nurse brought back her family member but not mine.... Next we get to the O.R now while they are getting prepared a nurse was trying to give me medicine through the IV for several minutes they could not flush it at all at this moment I am lying on my belly so the doctor tells me hey you don't it this will be very quick and trying to deal with this IV problem is taking up time...At this I have anxiety I am very upset at what has transpired but to hear this doctor say that was not professional at all. Told them give me the medicine now.. Next they said the IV was done wrong and they switched out the IV to my left arm so now at this time it was 3 times to do an IV.... So many violations occurred today best believe I will be using my privilege and contacts to make sure that what happend to me will not happen to another person of color. As a contracted Healthcare provider my company will make sure that I take this matter also to a State level as I just moved here 8 months ago back to my hometown of Cincinnati I come from California which is way more progressive in Healthcare than Ohio which sadly I have come to find that out very quickly I will never ever come back to your facility. Now when looking at my medical records the nurse stated that the IV was found not to be patent at 7:50 restarted antecubital at 7:54 then had the nerve to state that the patient tolerated the procedure well I will be requesting the full report as on My Chart it is not enough detailed information for a medical record. Then you listed my anesthesia start time was at 7:57 start time for procedure. Well I can say that during that lapse time I was in complete trauma mode from a physician telling me not to get anesthesia and the fact he that didn't even go over the procedure with me came in asked me did I have any questions well no I don't it for the physician to explain what procedure he is performing ask me a history of my 4 back surgeries as I have had this same procedure over 8 times well that didn't happen.... All I can say is Welcome to back to Cincinnati
