My personal review and experience: If I could offer more than 5 stars I definitely would. Please do not be discouraged by the negative reviews on google. I was at first concerned with the negative reviews therefore, called Dr.Sharma and expressed my concerns which he immediately cleared right away. Which I am extremely happy he did. I experienced the greatest care from the moment I checked in at reception to the moment I was discharged. long story short it’s been a rollercoaster the past couple of weeks leading to the news of surgery. If you are reading this and you are in need of surgery, I send you virtual hugs. I’m the type of person that looks at reviews and I contacted my surgeon right away as I had concerns due to the mixed reviews. Which to clarify, some are related to a different location. The staff IS professional, the facility IS indeed clean, everyone is kind and caring. This is important because empathy, professionalism and organization from your care team is a must. As each member introduced themselves and I observed how they were, everything checked off… completely different from what I have read on google reviews. I was indeed in great care. Dr. Sharma conducted ankle surgery after my foot was run over by a vehicle. He is thorough in explaining pre and post operation information and care; as well as explaining the process and procedure. Major addition is he is not robot like… Dr. Sharma is kind, listens to his patient and makes you feel safe. The nurses are phenomenal as well! They explained everything as they prepped. I’ve had experiences in my past where nurses don’t talk. At surgicore the nurses explain the process as they are doing it. They are kind and caring. This is also important because as a patient we are at a very vulnerable moment of our lives, before and after surger. All nurses are amazing. We shared great talks and laughs as well. I am very grateful to Susan, Lizette, and Joan. You are truly angels and heaven sent! I opted out of transportation as I have my personal transportation so I cannot review that portion. Overall my personal experience at Surgicore in Saddlebrook was great. I entered the OR with a broken ankle yet a mind filled with peace and left Surgicore with a successful surgery and a heart filled with gratitude thanks to a great care team!

AWFUL. Total waiting time was more than 2 hours but procedure time was only 15 minutes including post anesthesia recovery time. I wasn’t even fully fall asleep so I was lightly awake all the time. Literally right after got on the procedure bed, anesthetist injected the medicine, so I should be laying on the bed uncomfortably with light conscious status. They even asked me to flip over myself from procedure table to stretcher, and nuses and staff were so busy to ‘GET RID OF’ last couple patients because the center was almost time to close. I was not fully awake from LIGHT anesthesia but should leave becasue the transportation was waiting outside. No one went over about post procedure precautions, no one assisted me toward to the door because all staff were super busy to wrap up! I was so nautious all the time, eneded up with vomits at home. I had cervical and lumbar injections 7 times in total at different surgical centers but never ever had this unpleasant post anesthesia side effects. Also, if front receptionists understand all patients fasted at least 8 hours plus waiting at least 2 hours, they shouldn’t let all people seeing and eating foods at desk. So disrespecful!

HORRIBLE PLACE. DO NOT EVER COME HERE. They discharged my brother in law without checking his vital signs. They let him leave in a condition that was NOT STABLE. As a nurse I am super dissapointed and astonished at how they discharged him. The nurses couldn’t even get him up and they had two men get him up so he can leave. HE WAS NOT STABLE!!! When he got home he felt bad and an ambulance had to get called for him to go to the ER because his oxygen was in the 80s.they also expected him to DRIVE BACK AFTER SHOULDER SURGERY to get his glasses. Horrible place. do not ever come here unless you want to almost die after you get out.

This was the rescheduled place, since apparently there was a "mix up," with Princeton. The Time I was scheduled for in Princeton was late at night. The thing is, when I called before heading out, I was told, no the doctor's not there, they're in Trenton. blah blah -sedated have to be fasted, and are provided transport-local is so you can eat and drive yourself- blah. I was in a fasted state, as that's the last of the details I got from the Doctor, but since the time was mixed up it did spark the question of how much wasn't "mixed up." I get a call back from another number, correcting the details of what appeared to be the guy from the Montclair. blah blah blah, "Saddle Brook." The first guy is chatted with again, ~"they'll call you tomorrow to confirm the time of the appointment." Currently I don't have a calling phone, so I borrow one from time to time. Either way I don't get the details till the day before; 8:00 A.M. Dec. 7th(Saturday) 2024, transport will pick me up. Recall, the fasted state for sedation, and mild inclination towards sedation from the first guy, so I had to cram my "dinner," earlier and quickly. I get a few hours sleep, and get a call saying your transport is here. I tell the guy I got my own transport, and don't recall agreeing to transport or sedation, rather I was just given the details secondary. Either way it was weird how early they open, I don't think I took the 8 A.M. seriously because of this. I arrive, there's a line outside and inside, someone asks why so many people, the receptionist tells em' they're all waiting for transport. It's about 9 A.M., keep that in mind, as they wouldn't call me till approximately over 1 P.M. So the whole time, I'm fasted, and had to wait for 4 hours, I understand overbooking, but 4 hours, these people had to be mental. When I am called in, the lady asking for details, after you change in the med-gown, is having technical difficulties, and had an inclination towards local anesthesia, and not sedation. I inform her of the contradictions of my booking appointment, if I'm doing local, then why would I have transport and be in a fasted state. She's more or less trying to get me to do local, and I respectfully decline, as I've done all the prep work for sedation, none of these last minute changes. The doctors' are in their PPE, and one of the med-tech's, lanky-tall Asian guy(greasy face; probably due to the Cafestol from coffee) is kinda rude. This may be important later. The details lady that was trying to talk me into local, starts the IV, I believed I had asked about my blood pressure, and when I was told what it was, she corrects herself, stating it was higher; ~128 sys, after I ask, then it was ~130. Kinda high blood pressure, usually my blood pressure is about 110/77 sys/dia or so. She just says nerves, eventually it's time for the injections, I ask if I'm to carry the bag of the IV, and she just says yeah...walk over the to the room, with essentially a jackknife positioned table. The lank-tall Asian guy would sharply pull down my undergarment, as I had barely finished getting in position. Oxygen is given, and I knock out, and then they're waking me up. I ask if I could get epinephrine, I get a "what," ...adrenaline I respond. I get a "no," ok. I get my things, after they asked me what I'd like to drink, I decline as they didn't have what I wanted, rather I just drink my own water. While heading out, I use the restroom, and more or less feel fine. The print out has a typo for the address, I ask the receptionist to correct it, she has me write down the correct address, I walk out with some aid to my transport. I don't get what the dealt was with people trying to talk me out of sedation, it more or less feels like being lazy, or procrastination. The only issue was not being able to eat the normal amount I'd eat for lunch. In other words, I'd get full faster, and would take longer to finish my food. I also was uber dehydrated, during, and was trying to get my water filled a few times, again it just felt like lazyness, doing things was just slower.

Jersey City location...Had me sign numerous blank consents, when asked I was told they would fill out everything after to save time; now seeing this as a fraud alert. Not a single person wore a name tag to indicate their names, title or ANYTHING. Almost every person that walked by my bed looked in my chart, only some spoke to me. I was afraid to raise a stink as i was vulnerable to their care! I went into the surgical suite, I had to lay face down in a massage table type donut for my procedure. When I saw the floor I couldn't believe the filth, it clearly hadn't been mopped in a long time. At this point I was being sedated. Everyone in there was wearing shoe covers so it didn't just happen! This place is shady at best! I'm concerned about the care I received, exactly who everyone was, what my insurance company is actually being billed and my risk for infection!
