I had surgery at this center a few months ago and paid the amount that was presented to me at the time of the procedure. Recently, I began receiving an additional bill that I did not understand, so I called the billing department simply looking for clarification. Unfortunately, my experience with the billing representative, Virginia, was extremely disappointing. Instead of helping me understand the charge, she spoke to me in a very rude and dismissive manner. At one point she raised her voice and seemed more interested in shutting down the conversation than helping resolve the issue. All I was asking for was clear information about why I was being billed again after already paying what I was told was the full amount. I repeatedly asked for clarification, but Virginia was unwilling to work toward a solution or even explain things in a respectful way. Patients who have just gone through surgery should not have to deal with hostility when they call with billing questions. I hope management reviews how patient concerns are handled in the billing department, because respectful communication and transparency should be the standard. Iโ€™m still hoping someone from the center can review my account and provide the clarity that I originally called for. I'm not the type to leave bad reviews, but this behavior from Virginia was totally unacceptable, and feel that she was taking her anger out on me.

Would have given a 5 star rating except registration staff are rude and mechanical. No personality. Another issue with registration is that they ask for your social security number while sitting at their window with a room full of other patients. This is completely unethical. Where is patient sense of security with their personal information? They also had me initial stuff that they never indicated what i was signing. 5 ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ to the preop nurses, the laser staff, the OR staff and the PACU staff. They all explained exactly what was being done and what to expect. They are FANTASTIC๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿฅฐ Replace the registration staff with people that have some personality and you would have a GREAT surgical center

Had cataract surgery at this facility. Other than waiting a long time to get into the surgery area It was a positive experience. Professional staff and wonderful, caring doctors.

Just had second cataract surgery at this facility. Very clean and well staffed. Marcia my nurse today was AMAZING. Felt like she really cared about my well being. Invited her to yoga class with me in Ft. Lauderdale. First visit was at 10 am, went like clockwork. Second was at 6:45 am. Was scattered to say the least. After leaving set up area was put in hallway for others to be attended to, then confusion with surgery nurses about whether I was a laser patient or not. I took an earlier session due to cancellations. They may have thought I was original patient. Hope I got the right lens for my right eye! Dr Skolnick was incredible as my surgeon.....
