The care I received was great. However, the billing department is disgusting. They literally make up multiple sets of contradictory numbers for what you owe or paid for, and ignore emails when you question them. Dishonest at best, and could even be considered fraudulent. Get surgery here at your own risk. In response to their reply - they did issue two refunds a few months apart after months and months of repeated and increasingly angry emails, plus me telling them that I have filed a complaint with the California Department of Public Health. I still have no idea if I am owed more or not as I have not received any honest or open breakdown of numbers from them; we'll see if CDPH manages to get answers for me. In addition, when they called me to get my card details to issue the second refund, the message from "the leadership" was that my surgeon's office should have told me what I would owe before the surgery. When I asked which one of their several sets of made up numbers they should have given me, they had no answer. Weird, huh. The message remains - get surgery here at your own risk.
My experience here today - 2 hour op on my knee - was friendly, but not professional. I initially left a 5 star review because between the anesthesiologist, surgeon and the two nurses who took care of me, as well as the ladies at the front desk, I thought it went great, however, I then found out they were meant to give me crutches and didn't. They didn't have my size. Walking with crutches as opposed to just sitting on my rear end was an important post op point, and my surgeon who spoke to me that evening said it was "unacceptable" that they were not ready with the crutches, and my husband had to then go and get some.
This place is scamming people. The morning of surgery, they told me my "patient obligation" was $12911. When I asked what it was for, they provided a list of items the doctor "may use" during surgery and that I would be reimbursed for any unused items. They asked me to sign for the charges. Then, they didn't get me into surgery until 4:30 PM (scheduled at 10 AM), and no one was in the office when I came out of surgery. The doctor assured me that he only used one of the items on the list, and I should be getting a significant refund. However, when I contacted the office, the lady acted like she didn't know what I was talking about. This happened four months ago, and after multiple calls and emails, they have still failed to produce the list of items I signed/paid for or any reimbursement. They had their attorney send me a letter saying the document I requested didn't exist.
I should have read the reviews. They estimate what you owe but have no way of knowing what insurance will actually cover. Assigned an out of network nurse practitioner, have been hassling me for $8 for months without ever sending me actual bill outlining the charges. I will never go here again and I highly recommend you tell your doctor you don't want to use this facility. On the bright side, they said I couldn't leave on my own and had to have someone pick me up. But I guess they got bored after 20 mins and wheeled me outside then had ME sign as the person picking myself up lol... what a joke.
We came for a colonoscopy for my husband. This location is disorganized. Moreover, the staff are crass and rude, and don’t communicate with simple updates for those waiting for hours on their delayed appointment. We waited for 4 hours, and were treated as if illegals. Look elsewhere for a modicum of decent service.
