Surgcenter at Pima Crossing

Wish I had read these reviews before letting my surgery happen here. Surgery was great, staff was great. Problems in this billing dept is unacceptable. Paid as required prior to surgery but now 2.5 months later because of my deductible I’m owed 2k and you can’t get a call back nor an email back without multiple attempts. Just say “in processing”. Should be able to charge them a LATE FEE for lack of payment!

Great experience for the reminders, front desk amazing nurses Matti and Brittany. Clean, convenient, friendly!

Wow! Awesome staff and a wonderful environment to get medical treatment. Dr. Rowley was terrific as was every nurse!! Me last visit was equally perfect. An awesome staff!

On 1/20/25 I had a left hip surgery at this center performed by Dr. Staples. Post surgery I had some heart issues followed by my inability to urinate on my own. Dr. Staples called my significant other to let him know I would be able to be seen w/in 30 min. When he returned to the SurgCenter he was told I was having some heart issues and that it would be a while longer before he could come & be next to me in the recovery area. Eventually, all the Front office staff left, locking the doors and turning the lights off while he was still waiting in the front area! 30 min. went by, then another 30 & another 30 w/ out him being told what was going on & front office was dark at this point. He also tried calling the center hoping they would pick up in the back but they did not. Understandably, he had become extremely worried and started banging on the surgical doors screaming. Eventually, a nurse came out but this was not acceptable and a very unprofessional level of concern for keeping patient’s loved one informed. I would not recommend this facility because of this experience. My nurses who were assigned to me were kind and attentive to my personal care tho.

The medical staff at this center is wonderful. However, the billing department, and Lisa in particular, is terrible. The center charged me the amount to meet my deductible which I paid in full the day before the procedure. The center still has not billed my insurance two weeks later. The surgeon and anesthesiolgist have claims already pricessed - and those met my deductible. So now - Lisa - is telling me that the surgery center will have to have their claims submitted and I will have to wait and then perhaps a refund will be due to me! Completely ineffective means of billing - the money that I paid this place should be paid to my doctor because Lisa has yet to even file my claim. Lisa was condescending and rude. She laughed at me and an official complaint will be filed.
