Filipowski performed my lens replacement surgery. The procedure itself went smoothly, and I am now free from contact lenses, which is a positive. However, my overall outcome has been mixed. I now need reading glasses regularly and have significant sensitivity to bright light, so I also have to carry sunglasses. After spending about $10,000, I did not expect to still be dependent on glasses for daily activities like reading. The surgery process and office experience were professional, but I think it’s important for patients to understand that lens replacement does not necessarily mean you will be glasses-free. I wish I had been more prepared for that reality.

So far so good! Everything was very smooth from the start. The office staff at the front desk are very friendly. The office atmosphere is very calm, warm, welcoming and comfortable as were the several staff members I came into contact with. I finally met Dr.Diamond who was very thorough reviewing my issues, records and measurements of my eye. Having her full attention, Dr.Diamond answered all my questions and concerns and I did not feel rushed in any way. The procedure for the intraoccular lens implant went smoothly as expected. The entire OR staff and discharge nurse were all super friendly. All were professional, knowledgeable and courteous. I saw Dr. Diamond the next morning for my first postoperative appointment and I will be seeing her again in a week. My vision is improving slowly as expected without any surprises. There was no pain before, during or after the procedure. I am anticipating a similar experience and outcome with my other eye. You can’t go wrong with Dr. Diamond who came highly regarded by my optometrist. Dr. Diamond was the second cataract surgeon I saw and I immediately knew who was going to be the doctor doing my implant surgeries.

One of the best decisions I have made. Everything about the process was smooth and easy. Both Dr's are helpful and informative. Dr Diamond did a great job on the surgery and I see better then I ever did with contacts. The consultant Damaiya was a joy to work with and explained all of the financial, scheduling options and answered all my questions with a welcoming and cheerful attitude. Thank you to the entire team for your service.

The staff was nice and Shelby was amazing when doing my testing. Office was clean, and it was honestly a beautiful office. The doctor I saw was nice but I did leave feeling unaccounted. I was told that regardless of my systemic autoimmune disease 80% of women have dry eye from hormones, then told to take a vitamin and given some name brands for eye drops. I’ve done the over the counter eye drops none of them work. I have sjorgens. My dry eye isn’t going to get relief from some otc eye drops, or from an omega vitamin. I took the day to think about this review because I didn’t want to bad mouth the place because everyone was so kind. I do feel as if someone is going to tell me about having dry eyes to not put me in a box with “80% of woman” because mine is indeed not hormone related but rather a gland failure. I just wanted some relief, a prescription eye drop, something that didn’t cost me $15 a day because of the amount of otc drops I’m using in my eyes. Sincerely someone with sandpaper for eyes 😒.
