Had a really good experience at slate Hill surgery center. The staff was very caring and compassionate. They took very good care of me before and after surgery. I had the best doctor too and that makes a big difference. Dr Michael Jones and his assistant Brandon made me feel very comfortable the day of my surgery. It was just a good atmosphere with people that care

Second surgery experience was as wonderful as my first. Great people, nice setting, accommodating. They take very good care of patients.

Beware scheduling surgery here. I ended up paying over $4000 out of pocket not covered by my BC/BS. If I would’ve went to UPMC for my surgery I would not have this bill. This was confirmed by my BC/BS. When I first called Slate Hill for an itemized bill, customer support didn’t even know what that was, finally got someone that said they would mail me one, but never received one after 2 weeks. Called again, at that point received a statement telling me I owed them in addition to the $1500 I pre-paid before surgery another $2886, plus $640 additional to anesthesiologist. No coding on statement so had to call back again to get a coded statement. Plus each time I called I was on hold for minimum 20 minutes and then got a recording that they had to call me back next day. Very poor customer service. Was told they would see about reducing amount owed but they never did. I am retired and on a fixed income, not quite 65 so pay nice amount a month for health insurance and this is a hardship for me. Would not recommend surgery here unless you have thoroughly checked out all after surgery expenses. I learned a very valuable but costly lesson going here. Would not recommend.

EXTREMELY nice facility, place still smells brand new. I went here to have minor SI joint outpatient surgery with Dr. Fernandez my orthopedic doctor. From the moment I arrived up to being wheeled out of the facility, I was treated like an actual person by a warm and caring staff. This was NOT my first surgery but my fifth! I have had a couple outpatient surgeries in the past. One at a Naval Hospital out West, another at a UPMC hospital and the other at Hershey’s outpatient surgery center which I wouldn’t go back to the Hershey one for all the chocolate Hershey makes, just awful! Slate Hill Surgery Center is wonderful, you do NOT feel like cattle from the moment you enter until you leave which is a nice change. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Slate Hill Surgery Center ❤️❤️❤️

Wonderful experience at Slate Hill surgery center. The staff was very professional and went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable, before and after my surgery. I appreciate the staff for reaching out the next day to see how I was doing. Dr Fernandez from OIP is the best! He did a two level ADR. I am 3 weeks post op and feel amazing!
