This is the second cataract surgery that my mom has had the first one, we were scheduled for a morning appointment around 8:30 to 9:00am, and they changed it to 5:00 a.m. at 8:39pm. the night before the surgery. so then we had to get up at 3:00a.m. to be ready to be way over in Sarasota by 5:00 a.m. for a 6:00 a.m. surgery because the doctor had to leave early, so yeah, let's just change everybody else's time to please him. Everybody in the office that day was very upset because it was taking so long and they had so many of us there. Then they didn't tell the Envision eye specialist next door that had to check the pressure after the cataract surgery that they were opening early, and The Envision should open early also, but no. So we had to wait here till after 9:00 am to get her pressure checked when they finally got there and opened. They couldn't release her until her pressure was checked. This time we were getting ready to walk out the door to take her to her surgery an hour before it started and they call and said that they have to move it to 12:30 be here 1:30 surgery it is now 3:30 and they just took her back for her second cataract surgery I am not at all happy with this place. I am very sick and have to sit in my car the whole time because they changed her appt and they said it wouldn't take long. If they were going to be this long they shouldn't have told us to be here by 12:30pm. The doctor should not schedule the patients 15 minutes apart when there is no way that he can possibly get them done in that time frame, especially when he's already running late. We have been here since 12:00pm today IT IS NOW 4PM they just called me and said that it would be another 15 minutes for her to see if she wakes up okay then she has to go next door for another 15 minutes after that for the pressure check again. They close at 5:00 pm. THIS IS RIDICULOUS. All of this and my mother takes thyroid medicine and could not eat after midnight the night before the surgery and she's supposed to have her medicine and eat an hour after it she has not eaten or drank anything all day because we have been here all day long. I have been waiting out in the car because I do not feel well at all and did not want to get anybody in the facility sick for 3.5 hours.
