Amazing experiences! My son has had two proceedures here. Every part of the experience was top notch each time. The nursing staff is so kind, patient and thorough. The facilities are convenient and clean. Could not ask for better.

We have a great experience with having a surgery at Rockville Surgical Suites. Everything went smoothly and on time.

I had a procedure done here yesterday 12/31, and really can't overstate how good the experience was, all things considered. In the weeks leading up to the procedure, the front desk staff were very communicative, and helped me navigate the major headache of my doctor not promptly sending them my pre-op physical records and labwork. During the procedure itself, the nurses were incredibly patient and kind with me. I have a severe phobia of needles, and when I started having a panic attack as they tried to insert the IV, they never made me feel ashamed or like I was impeding their work (even though I definitely was). Shervay (I apologize if that's spelled incorrectly) was especially great and did her best to comfort me and help me calm down. Dr. Lee and the staff kept my wife informed of my status, and I left on time with everything I needed.

I had a procedure here on Monday, December 23. When we entered the reception and waiting space, I noticed it was in need of an update and the waiting room was very cold. There was another person in there waiting for someone getting a procedure and they had a small space heater next to them. Not sure if it was provided by the business or not, but it speaks to the level of chill and discomfort in the waiting area. While the staff was friendly and knowledgeable during my visit, the communication during and post operation was disappointing, to say the least. Since I had to be under general anesthesia, I had my mother come with me to drive me home afterward. We were told the procedure would be 60-90 minutes and then it would be up to 90 min for me to be discharged after waking up. Together, this is about 3hours. However, the whole situation took just over 4.5 hours and my mother was never given an update about the progress of the surgery, when I woke up, or how I was doing. She had to prompt the receptionist multiple times to ask how I was doing and what was going on because she was just left to assume and worry. The surgeon never came out to debrief with her. Thank god the surgery was successful with no hiccups. When a nurse did finally come out to speak with my mother, she told my mother that I could take ibuprofen after surgery although ibuprofen is a blood thinner and it not recommended to take post back surgery. Additionally, we never got a post op call to see how I was doing. I even called them the following morning (Christmas Eve) to ask for clarity about some instructions because we were given three different instructions regarding my wound care. I left a message asking to get clarity around the contradictory instructions and three days later (today is December 27th) they have yet to call back. If I’m being honest, I don’t know if they opened up on Christmas Eve, the 26th or the 27th but that’s no excuse for the bad communication. If they don’t have the capacity to follow up and be available during this week, they should not have scheduled procedures on the 23rd. And further, they should have let us know if they were going to be closed this week, especially since they encouraged us to reach out with any questions. God willing, I won’t have to visit this business again, but if I do have to have another procedure, it will not be here. I feel frustrated, dehumanized and uncared for. This truly was a just business transaction for the surgical suites.

Kids should never have surgery at this center. They will mess up them.
