I recently had surgery here this past Monday and they made the entire experience the best it could be. The front desk staff was attentive and informative when I was signing all my check in documentation. All the nurses and doctors who prep and take care of you during your surgery were awesome. They explained everything they were doing and explaining all of the steps. They made sure I was comfortable and knew what was going on. My surgery took longer than expected and they were closed by the time I was out. The two nurses who were left with me did not rush me out and took amazing post-op care of me. They insisted on me staying until I felt comfortable. I have had surgery before, not here, and was rushed out while still waking up from anesthesia, so this was a very refreshing experience. They gave me a lot of papers along with excellent verbal post op care for me to follow at home. Thank you Point of Rock for your awesome care!

I highly recommend Point of Rocks Surgery Center. On a day that I had high anxiety, I immediately felt as ease when arriving. The staff is highly competent and professional. Barbara - pre surgical nurse was great and kept my spirits up Alexa - surgery nurse was very good letting me know everything that was going on. Stacy - post surgery nurse was truly amazing. She made sure that I was comfortable and really helped with pain management, Her bedside manner was so good, at times I forgot I had knee replacement. My experience was off the charts great!!!! Mike

Had reconstructive knee surgery. The staff at the center were accommodating, detailed and professional. They called and took information and answered all my questions. They do call a day prior let you know what time to arrive due to the patient list so they can have the OR run as efficient as possible. They also have to make sure diabetic patients are the first in line for surgery and children as well. My surgeon loves the center and so do I! ❤️ I definitely recommend this surgical center.

I was scheduled to have surgery at this center today September 12, 2023. This review has NOTHING to do with the front staff at all. They were awesome and very respectful! This is more about the lack of communication to ME about the policy and procedures of this center at any time leading up to this surgery. My ENT/surgeon was working at this location today and that's the only reason I didn't go to the actual hospital. For anyone wondering, this is an ambulatory surgical center, not an actual hospital. If I had waited to go to the hospital, it'd be a couple more months down the road that I would have gotten this surgery. I have had this surgery scheduled since May 16, 2023. I have had 1 appointment with my ENT for a pre-op physical where my weight was not taken at any time. I get to the center today and check in, pay, and wait for 2 hours (normal to have delays in surgery that to me is never an issue). I finally get called back to change into my gown for pre op and the nurse says that my BMI is too high and that if they weigh me again with my gown on and it is still high that they can't do the surgery and will have to reschedule to do the surgery at the hospital. I was told that my number is 50.1 and they needed me below 50. So it's not like it was a large number and they still wouldn't operate because they said it was policy and a safety issue. Not at ANY part of the days, weeks, or months leading up to this surgery was my weight and BMI a discussion or a deciding factor into receiving this surgery. I took time off work and so did my dad to drive me to this surgery and to wait 2 hours and ONLY then be told about the policy that if my BMI was too high they wouldn't operate is very disturbing to me as a paying patient. I now have to wait even longer to get an appointment scheduled for this surgery in the hospital. The lack communication of the staff/working nurses/doctors to their patients is wrong and I will say that I was fully reimbursed for the amount of the operation shortly after I was given the bad news. I will never go to another center for surgery ever again! I will only go to hospitals. Please take this into consideration when you have an appointment here. I am deeply disappointed and hope they make their policies known to people.

Had the worst experience the day of the surgery. Dr was ready to do the surgery but they'd lost the paperwork and said we weren't scheduled even though I'd been sent an email with a scheduled arrival time. Took HOURS to figure it out and wouldn't let us in the building till they did. WAY overcharged for the procedure saying they deserved to be paid that much and the credits they took away were given as a mistake. We had to wait outside in the middle of the summer because of COVID....I'm sorry waiting outside for 5 hours in the middle of the summer isn't doable and no I'm not going home when my minor child is inside the building. As you can tell will never be going back here and I highly recommend going to a different surgical center if your Dr. operates out of a different one.
