Peoria Surgery Center

I had a procedure here this morning that required general anesthesia. Oh my goodness- what a wonderful experience!!! The facility looks well-equipped and is spotlessly clean. The doctors and anesthesiologist were great, but the stars of the show were the manager Mary and her group of nurses! I had to - or should I say got to - spend 90 min in the post-op recovery room for the anesthesia to wear off. I spent that time with a half-dozen or so extremely professional and really nice nurses fussing over me! They kept apologizing for keeping me there and I kept telling them I'd like to stay here all day, please. A really great surprise!

Very sad experience for me and my baby.. so heart breaking and my 4 year old who is very advanced. Is now traumatized.. 😔 they made it sound like such a kid friendly place.. then, when my son woke up from after the procedure. It was like no one had been around a kid. They were rushing to shove water or ice pop. Down my son throat so they can get him out and put the next kid in his bed. I left crying, my mom comforting me and my 4 year old.. wasn’t the dr, she was great. Definitely the nurses need more training.. 😔 So sad, that now my son hates any drs, including his PCP office..

I was extremely impressed with this facility and staff! Professional, CLEAN, the medical professionals providing the care and testing took the time to be explain things in great detail and answer all my questions - some outside of the scope but related to the procedure and diagnostic process. The staff at every point in the process from checking in to recovery are friendly and helpful. The organization and cooperative collaboration among them made things move smoothly and efficiently. One of the best experiences I have ever had when having to navigate through something healthcare related. The NP, Nurses, and Anesthesiologist top notch!

The staff is amazing very nice and welcoming lots of positivity From the front desk to the nurse to dr everyone is very comforting to not just the patients but family and loved ones they make the whole experience pleasant and less nervous feeling especially when about to have sugery. I very highly recommend you coming to this center! The amazing staff and doctors here are wonderful! I will continue to come to this surgery center! They make sure you have what you need,if you have any questions and I can't forget my lip balm..lol for a first time visit! I just loved it
