WARNING- This place is shady. Take your business elsewhere. If I could give them zero stars I would. It's been a saga. I went here for a colonoscopy because my family has a history that requires me to be screened. The actual procedure was fine, but I am definitely NOT using here the next time I need a screening. Don't bother using the chat bot on their website because there will be no follow through from it, you need to call in person. Don't bother filling out the online paperwork because it will be frustrating since even if you select that you don't have any of the conditions listed, you will still need to select one to get the paper work to progress. They don't read it anyway because even though I completed the online paperwork 24 hours in advance of my initial appointment, they had not updated any of my information from 5 years ago and it took no less than 5 tries to actually get them to update the information even though people kept assuring me that they had it updated. Dr. Booth also put in my paperwork from my set-up appointment comments about reducing my weight by exercise and reducing calories even though he did not discuss my weight, my history regarding my weight, nor find out anything I had already tried. Then, to top it off, instead of the follow-up appointment after the procedure being considered part of the care from the procedure, I was charged the co-pay for a specialist for an "appointment" that was done through telehealth on my phone and the actual time with the doctor was less than 5 minutes after I had to wait in the telehealth portal for almost ten minutes for him to get to me. Take your business elsewhere. I just double checked my account through their portal since I received a paper bill in the mail for the telehealth visit, and even though I already paid the co-pay online it appeared that they have not credited the amount. I verified in my checking account that the co-pay actually came out of my account and it did. I already have problems with their billing because they did not disclose to me that my procedure would not be covered by insurance and instead they have stuck me with the bill. I had assumed it would be covered because when I went in five years ago for my initial one my insurance covered all of it. This is an on-going issue with their billing issues because when I went in five years ago they had me pay a co-pay but they did not bother to inform me that at the time my insurance fully covered it. I only happened to find out that they were holding onto my co-pay because my benefits spending card let me know my insurance covered everything. So do not trust them with money. Because their online portal is confusing, it turns out that they will not update the "Billing" section to show that you have paid something. You have to look in the section where you can actually pay to see that it has zeroed out. However, they will keep reposting their bill so it keeps pinging your account and you don't receive an acknowledgement that you have paid (i.e., a receipt). Take your business elsewhere. There will be a separate online thing to pay for something else. Their website/portal is equally confusing. If you do pay online they don't email you a receipt so be sure to download your receipt because it will not show a zero on their website (i.e., it would be nice if they entered the 21st century). Take your business elsewhere.
I was scheduled for an appointment at 2:30. The office called and asked if I would be able to come in early for 1:30 instead. I got to the office at 1:20 and was told “actually, Dr. Booth called and said he won’t be here until 2:00.” I did not get called back to a room until 2:30. At 2:50, I’m still here waiting. Saying I am dissatisfied and frustrated is an understatement.
Dr. Reina listens, never rushes you, he explains everything, and makes you feel comfortable with his diagnosis. Our call went very well. He is very personable. Great bed side manners!
Everyone was helpful throughout the entire process from explaining, scheduling, prep, and recovery. I liked the tele-call with Dr. Rena on the follow up, and how convenient it was. He answered my questions and I didn't feel rushed.
Dr. Bourgeois was amazing and very thorough. I'm so happy I had the opportunity to visit. The facilities and staff are subpar. The entire office needs an upgrade, and the staff were all eating fast food at their desks as I was checking out. The smell was horrible, and it was not a professional look for a top notch gastroenteroloty office, in my opinion. I will go back because of Dr. Bourgeois, but I do hope they improve the office space
