The first time I went there for a procedure, everything went fairly well, except that a certain employee, and the anesthesiologist as well, was quite rude; not what you want the person who has your life in their hands to be! I spoke with the manager afterwards who was kind, but she also told me they outsource their anesthesiologists, which didn’t make me extremely comfortable. I mean, this isn’t a plumbing or roofing job; this is surgery! I had to go back for a sinus procedure the following week, and initially felt relieved that I didn’t get the same anesthesia doctor. This anesthesiologist however; did not ask me anything, nor consult with me about the medication he was going to use. There was no communication prior to surgery. I had no reason to believe it would be anything other than the normal protocol; either versed or propofol, which is what I’ve had for every prior surgery in hospitals or otherwise, and I never had an adverse reaction. This time when I awoke from surgery, I felt like I was living a nightmare! It literally felt like hell, or as if I was being tortured. I thought I was having a violent psychotic break! All I wanted was to get out of there because I was in excruciating pain and I didn’t know where I was or what was happening. I kept trying to get up but I was being physically held down and people were screaming at me. Then my surgeon came back and started to jab my head with needles (NOT acupuncture needless, but large needles), under the impression I was having a migraine, which only added to the fear, chaos, and pain. I’ve had migraines before, which this was not. I learned later how the anesthesiologist had given me KETAMINE! I have NEVER had ketamine before and all I knew was that it was an experimental psychiatric drug, and a horse tranquilizer! After researching it and talking with other people who’d been given the same drug, NOT ONE person had a pleasant experience, but EVERY ONE of them had terrible, negative side effects! So WHY do they continue to use it? Is it CHEAPER than the other medications? That’s the only thing I can surmise, especially if they are outsourcing the anesthesiologists. They have no loyalty to Advanced surgery center! Nor to the patients. I am extremely unhappy and disappointed with the entire situation. It was traumatizing and tortuous, and I’m still having flashbacks. At the very least, I want a full refund for the money I paid the surgery center, though no amount of money can compensate the agony and suffering I endured. I should have been asked or told what they were going to give me. I should have been warned about the potential negative side effects of this drug. But no one mentioned ANYTHING about Ketamine, which is not a typical anesthesia drug, and if it was going to be given I should have been warned first. Had I been asked or advised, I would have refused it. But I was not even given the option. So waking up in this hellish nightmare was even scarier, because not knowing why I was in this state, I literally thought I was losing my mind. I CANNOT in good conscience recommend this place. I’m still overcoming the negative effects of Ketamine, which stays in your system for days, if not weeks. IT IS THE WORST, NASTIEST DRUG I’VE EVER EXPERIENCED IN MY LIFE (And I’m 60 yrs old)! Something needs to be done, because I am not finished with this crusade. I never want another person to suffer like I did. It was such a terrible experience that if I could give a negative rating I most certainly would, based on the Anesthesiologist giving me a dangerous drug (which is first and foremost a horse tranquilizer), without consulting me. It’s unconscionable, and goes against not only the Hippocratic oath, but every professional decorum. I have yet to receive even an apology.

We’ve now been through four tube procedures here, and every single experience has been exceptional. The staff at this surgery center is truly incredible. From the moment we walked in, everyone—from the welcome desk to the discharge nurse—was warm, kind, and reassuring. The nurses went above and beyond to make my daughter feel safe and calm. They didn’t just treat her like a patient—they cared for her like she was their own. Their compassion, patience, and professionalism gave us so much comfort during what could have been a very stressful experience. We are so impressed with the level of care and consistency every time we visit. We’ve never had a bad experience here, and that kind of peace of mind as a parent is priceless. Highly recommend this center to any family facing a pediatric procedure. You’ll be in the best hands.

Yesterday I was a patient at ASC and am so thankful to everyone for the wonderful and professional care I received. My experience was amazing and far exceeded my expectations. Going in, I was quite apprehensive and worried about having surgery, but I cannot say enough about how pleased I am. My doctor, the anesthesia team, the nursing staff, and receptionist were extremely kind, efficient, and took exceptional care of me, keeping my husband informed and including him in my plan of care. Thank you again to everyone.

Had a tonsillectomy here this morning and the facility was great. Got in quick and easy, everyone was very attentive and communicative. No issues at all with the anesthesia and the nurses/doctor listened very carefully to my needs. I definitely recommend this facility!

Both of my boys had tubes put in and the one had an adenoidectomy at Advanced Surgery and the experience was really easy. The staff and doctors were amazing, very knowledgeable and explained every step thoroughly. I would definitely recommend for any same day procedures. We were in and out within 2 hours. Thanks again!!
