Appt- 7/09/25- No starts deserved for this appointment I was a patient of this practice for years with Dr Bartolomeo. Unfortunately he retired, so when I received a notice saying I needed a colonoscopy , I called and asked to have an appointment with a female doctor. Unfortunately , I saw Cassandra Sanossian,MD. She came into the office and asked me why I came in. I explained that I was a told I needed a colonoscopy . She stated she had not looked at my file yet. She told me she was extremely tired and she seemed aggravated. When she looked at my file, she stated that my prior colonoscopies were very difficult, and it appeared that this one would be also. I left the office and thought about what had happened. I decided I did not want her as my doctor. I called the office and explained that I wanted a different doctor. I was told that they to speak to an office manager and would get back to me. When they returned my call, I was told that I would have to have Dr Sanossian. I wish I had gotten the name of the person who told me this. I explained that I was afraid to go to her as she told me my colonoscopy would be very difficult. I told the person on the phone that I would have to change practices if I had to have this doctor. I requested my medical records and was sent a form to release them. I have another appointment with a different practice tomorrow. I just received a bill from this appointment for $45.70. It will kill me to pay for this horrible experience. I noticed there are other bad reviews for this doctor so it makes me feel better that it was just not me.

Whoever answered the phone (wherever the call gets routed after I chose option #4) on 12-24-25 at 9:20 am when I called to schedule an appointment was extremely rude and impatient. This person needs to be fired IMMEDIATELY. I am surprised that this office has someone like this on staff. She has a very rude tone, and she sounds like she is doing you favor. She's very bitchy and very huffy. If you call and she takes your call, you get the sense you are putting her out of her way - her breathing alone with tell you she doesn't want to deal with you. This is not the first time I have experienced this with calling this office! I am a patient of the office and need another procedure done, but if you can't get past the receptionist that's not going to be possible. I said "ma'am it seems like you don't want to speak to me and I can call back another time". She doesn't like her job and she definitely shouldn't be in a position that requires dealing with people.

If I could give zero stars I would. The receptionist staff is so rude and not at all helpful. My insurance company assigned me to this doctor office. Each time I call in it was like pulling teeth. So after doing an initial visit the office was to follow up with me by sending me a referral for a hemorrhoid doctor. By the time I went to my follow up appt this wasn't done. So as to not waste the visit, I was feeling like I had a stomach bug and I decided to check my poop. To keep it PG they wanted me to take a kit with several different testing home and do the swabs myself. Then I was to call fed ex to scedule a pick up. This was too over whelming. No doctors office office ever told me to do this. I already had the sample so I figured I was in uniondale and FED EX have a Garden city office. I would use one stone to kill two birds. Medicaid was giving me transportation. So I decided to call them to add on to my trip and just drop off the sample myself. The African American receptionist was somehow annoyed with me when I started to ask her how long can I keep the sample for. Cutting me off telling me to call the number on the back of the sample box. There was about 10 numbers. Mind you it's a doctor's office you would think they would know the answer to simple questions. This receptionist got upset, she was so ride, I decided to ask a caucasion receptionist the same question. As this lady attempted to answer me she put out her hands and shouted at the woman to not answer my question. This woman was so frightened that she stop and shook her shoulders and proceeded to tell me she didn't know. By now the Medicaid transportation receptionist was asking me if I was OK because she overheard the conversation with me and the lady in the office. This woman created a sceen, until some of the doctors came out to see what was going on. I had signed a release to forward medical records. I just politely asked for my document and handed bank the stool sample kit and walked out. This was my true experience dealing with this doctors office.

Today I arrived at 8:09 AM after a few weeks in pain to see Dr. Sanossian. She did not even hesitate when she chose to refuse to see me for being nine minutes late. Perhaps if youre looking for someone who is patient-focused, understanding or has some compassion, she is not the one for you. I am disgusted that I now need to wait weeks to be seen and come back for the answers I need. Between this and the attitude at the desk (who was cold/accusatory), I left frustrated. People are human and are sometimes late, there was no reason for the treatment I received.
