Had my first appt with Dr. Goldstein, She had an extremely wonderful bedside manner, knowledgeable, confident, and answered all questions I had. I have my first hemorrhoid removed using their revolutionary system with a success. I will be making follow ups and solely driving to this clinic, even though it’s a little bit further

I saw Dr. Daruwala for about two years because I had stomach pains, loose stools, discomfort laying down, etc. He told me to go on a gluten free diet. I strictly followed this diet, but it was getting worse. Tried various medications. One in particular made me feel awful. It didn't feel like he was hearing me when I explained this at the time. Eventually it got so bad, I was unable to walk around the block without taking a winded knee. Before this, I was a runner. Sharp pains in my heart. It felt like my entire body was deteriorating. I was unable to work for a period. Shortly before I hit my lowest point, I went to a visit where I was told they were not recommending any further testing. I felt like I was being kicked out. Ultimately, it was for the best. After running down various other specialist rabbit holes, and finally securing another gastro, they did a stool sample. My new doctor was surprised this simple test had never been done. I had c-diff the entire time. This was easily resolved with specialized antibiotics. I cannot express to you how good I started to feel again. That medication I mentioned earlier? I learned it can make c-diff worse. I'm fortunate to have my life back, but it had nothing to do with Hunterdon Gastroenterology Associates.

Not recommended! Interested in seeing a female gastroenterologist. Waited months for my appointment to finally get in. We scheduled a colonoscopy and when I arrived, after all the prep, a male doctor shows up for the procedure. When I asked where my doctor was, they said it happens all the time. All the reasons I went there were never addressed. When I asked the male doctor afterwards feedback as to why I came in the first place, he had no clue. Never heard back from my female doctor. Go somewhere else. They don’t care about their patients!

Dr. Devi Patel is an excellent doctor. I found the nurses to be quite attentive during the various procedures I've had. BUT there is a voicemail box where you request refills. I leave the message, speaking slowly and clearly with all the requisite information. They never get the message, and I wait over a week and need to talk to someone bypassing their system. Since my initial review I have been told, they are trying to get the patients to use the patient portal to request prescription refills.

After fighting bronchitis for 6 weeks and having my acid reflux been ramped up from steroids and bronchitis made an appointment with Dr. Mathew’s. Suffering with regurgitation at night and after eating, throat pain, chest pain and hoarseness came here looking for help. After discussing symptoms with the doctor he suggested a new acid reflux medication. After one week and no improvement looking for help elsewhere. Disappointed with the lack of concern here.

Frequently asked questions

What types of gastroenterology procedures do they offer?

They offer a range of endoscopic procedures, including colonoscopies and upper endoscopies, tailored to diagnose and treat various gastrointestinal conditions.

How should I prepare for my procedure?

Preparation varies by procedure, but typically involves dietary restrictions and possibly medication adjustments. Their team will provide specific instructions prior to your appointment.

Will I need someone to drive me home after my procedure?

Yes, due to the sedation used during many procedures, they recommend that you arrange for a responsible adult to drive you home afterward.
