I recently had an endoscopy & colonoscopy at Gulfshore Endoscopy Center on December 4, 2025. I had such a wonderful experience that I wanted to write and let everyone know how I felt about my visit. From the moment I walked in the door until the moment I left, I was treated extremely well. Everyone was courteous, greeted me with a smile, assisted me in any way they could. Each person was intelligent, happy and knew their job extremely well. I thought perhaps I had walked into the Ritz Carlton by mistake! I would especially like to thank my intake nurse Yenny, RN, the procedure room nurse Leticia Gomez, RN, my anesthetist Traci Digiacomo, CRNA and my PACU nurse Marleen, RN. Each one was amazing and instrumental in creating a wonderful experience making me feel safe and cared for. And kudos to Rosemary, the woman that greets you and takes care of everything upon your arrival. She welcomed me at the reception desk with a warm smile and handled ALL my paperwork. She too deserves a really, really big thank you! She was truly wonderful! And thank the person responsible for hiring each of these individuals. They did an excellent job picking the best of the best. And I would like to thank you for providing them with an environment in which they can enjoy their jobs and their work, giving them the opportunity to give the best possible care to your patients. I'm also here to say that the billing practices are questionable at best. I remember have a bit of sticker shock when they billed me the day of my endoscopy, but hey... it's Naples, Fl and medical so it's going to be expensive. However, being sent to collections for an outstanding anesthesiologist bill was certainly a surprise. Apparently they sent notifications in multiple ways but never heard back from me. This would be considered a medical bill/tax write off for me, so there really isn't a reason I'd dodge paying the bill. I'm more so disappointed that I was sent to collections for such a seemingly small bill... one that I would've been fine paying if I knew about it. I could go on about the day of the procedure itself... I remember feeling a bit off about the condition of the facility. Laying in the bed for over an hour while listening to the nursing staff openly bashing conservative views (not the time or place), or shortly after coming out of anesthesia being handed my clothes and told to walk back to the waiting room. I still had the metallic taste in my mouth and felt like the room was spinning. Mind you... you have to be completely fasted. A cup of water at the very least would've been appreciated. If given the option... maybe try somewhere else.

Questionable Billing Practices: I would NOT recommend Dr Jara nor this facility. I came in for a routine, 5 year Colonoscopy. I learned she omitted the standard Z code for routine to maximize the billing. I have left no fewer than 5 messages, called billing and had my insurance call the office two times to request resubmission of claim as routine. If it was not a routine procedure or if I had issues, I would not argue this point. It was a routine procedure which is one of the few benefits my insurance covers but not in this case due to their billing practices.

FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD!!!! BUYER BEWARE - This place is a scam. They provide you with a cost estimate for procedure and then Double or Triple the Bill. They add physicians that I never met and want me to pay for them. They will not reconsider their billing and blame it on the customer, even though I paid everything they estimated at the start. Find another doctor - This place is dangerous.
