I visited the Glennville location and was extremely disappointed. I didn't like traveling to Savannah for our appointments due to traffic. So I figured Glennville being a small town I really thought the people would be friendly. On way there I was caught behind a school bus and was worried about running late. I tried calling 4 times and never got an answer. So of course I figured they were busy. When we arrived on time the receptionist was very dry and rude. We do have wellcare but it's still insurance. The only friendly one was the lady assisting the doctor. The young lady who did the frames must've really hated her job. No smiles. No friendliness from anyone. I understand the appointment ran into 5 pm and they may have been ready to go home but they are the ones that scheduled both my childrens appointments at 330 pm. Very disappointed in the service.
I DO NOT recommend GA Eye Institute. I scheduled a routine eye exam and gave my insurance information. When I showed up to my appointment I was asked to pay the co-pay and did. I got a bill for the refractory test. And I paid, thinking ok - this part may not be covered. Now I'm being billed for the rest. I called and was told it looked like nothing was submitted to my insurance. I gave the information. A little later I get a call because there is still a bill. I call and explained the situation and was then told they would get someone else to call me to explain why I still had a bill. If someone at this location tells you that your insurance covers it, make sure you get it in writing. If my insurance wasn't accepted there, I would have gone elsewhere. UPDATE: A year after my exam, they agreed to waive the charges so I now have a zero balance. While I appreciate them making it right, it took entirely too long and I won't be returning.
I would have given 5 stars if the front receptionist hadn’t been so rude. The day before surgery we were told to be there at 1. We arrived at 5 mins till 1 & was told by the receptionist we were too early that we were supposed to be there at 1:15. She also made the same comment to another lady that was early. She made other rude remarks to us & other people. Everyone in the back was fantastic..
I love this place, the people are very friendly and regardless if you were using WellCare or not they treated you with respect and the glasses were very durable because they had there own in house glasses. I do have to mention this “Not all Georgia Eye Institutes are the same!” This particular one is AWESOME!!!! Don’t go to the one in Hinesville, Ga.!! Trust me on that!!
Over the past three years I’ve received excellent care from a friendly professional staff in a clean comfortable environment. Special thanks to Dr Bromley (removed cataracts OU) and Dr Ray (repaired detached retina OD).
They specialize in a range of ophthalmic surgeries, including cataract surgery and other eye procedures tailored to your needs.
Currently, they are not accepting new patients. Please call them for information on future availability.
Please bring a valid ID, your insurance information, and any relevant medical records to your appointment.
