I had surgery today and my experience was 10/10!!! If I could give more stars I would. Dr. Bakos performed my surgery. He is one of my favorite doctors I see. So gentle, reassuring, and compassionate.🫶🏻 My anesthesiologist and his CRNA Sue were amazing! As well as my triage nurse, I think her name was jessi. Last but not least, Roxanne. She was my pacu nurse and wow! She did everything she could to make me comfortable and did just THAT. She felt just like a mommas hug! If this woman has never won a daisy award, she absolutely should! From the minute I walked in I was treated with so much care and love. With no doubt in my mind, these humans chose EXACTLY what they were meant to do!!!❤️ Thank you to my team of drs. & nurses. You all were incredible. You make this world go round!
The anesthesia policy is garbage. I have a large son for his age, not obese just muscular. The anesthesiologist refused to do the surgery due to his bmi. His pediatrician and surgeon approved him!!! My son was large at birth and early and has always been larger than all kids his age. They did the same simple surgery (ear tubes) on him a couple years ago. If it was a more serious surgery and going under with intubation I would understand. This is just over kill. He is 3 years old and is athletic and built like a tank. The volunteer was nice but the check in staff, Bonnie was cold and wouldn’t even say hi to my three year old who was actively talking to her. They should focus on adults. Also….. anyone in the medical field knows that BMI is a horrible tool and does not truly reflect the patient ESPECIALLY IN CHILDREN. The anesthesiologist didn’t even look at my son!!! He came in shaky and nervous to tell me the policy. So aggravating!!!! Avoid them if you have large babies!
I had a surgery on 10/30. Doctor said everything was great, I trust him. While I was in post-op and recovering from general anesthesia, I felt off, noticed I was bleeding a lot and passed a large clot when I went to the restroom. I tell my nurses but I am so loopy and exhausted from the anesthesia that when they tell me it’s fine, I believe them. They send me home. 1 hour later I call 911 to take me to the ER because I was actively hemorrhaging. It was very traumatic. I lost 1 liter of blood and needed a second surgery to fix the bleed. Complete disregard from the post operation nurses. I wish they would have checked my wound in the very least and listened to my concern because it could have been caught and this would have been a very different review. I am very disappointed but have learned to trust my body and advocate for myself in the future. I am giving 2 stars and not 1 because the facility is clean and my pre op nurse, Lisa, was so kind. Be careful in post op!! Stick up for yourself!!!
I had my very first surgery here today for a ATFL and CFL ligament repair and arthroscopy by Dr.Bowen. This place was AMAZING! All the nurses and staff were kind, patient, and definitely reassuring! I was very nervous cause it was my first surgery ever undergoing general anesthesia, and i give them a huge thumbs up! They made sure I was comfortable, relaxed and stress free! even gave me some ginger ale and crackers afterwards since I couldn’t eat before the surgery. Sheridon my nurse before the procedure was fantastic! Sweetest girl i have ever met. Thank you to this place for making my first surgery fly by and taking great care of me!
I cannot thank the surgery center enough. Everyone was so kind and helpful. I went to have my ankle surgery this morning. The nurses and anesthesia was awesome! They made sure I was comfortable and answers all my questions and concerns. Dr. Bowen was awesome surgeon. If you ever have to have surgery done this place I highly recommend. They treat you just like family. I’ve been a nurse practitioner for 10 years and RN before that. I had never felt in any other facility good vibes as I did this one. You ladies and gentlemen are awesome! My hat goes off to you. Thank you for the loving care you had given me. God bless each and everyone of you❤️❤️❤️
