We had a fantastic experience at the Ortho Walk-In Clinic! We brought my 90 year old grandmother in after a fall. Within 45 minutes of arrival, we had X-rays done, had talked to four techs/nurses/practioners, all of whom were incredibly kind, and had a plan for care moving forward with a follow up in two days. Just avoiding the Emergency Department and being exposed to the flu was great, but the entire experience could not have been better.
Checked in, waited over an hour and a half to get seen, several people were seen before me, and they checked in over an hour after I checked in. I had to complain to the front desk. Office Manager told me that those people were triaged in front of me and had more pressing issues (she was somehow available immediately after I mentioned that people were being seen ahead of me). The medical assistant apologized to me an told me that I was a more pressing case than people who had been seen up to that point. I was in pain the whole time. Picture of steroids prescribed to me because I was the least emergent case at the walk in clinic.
