Our experiences with Atlanta Gastroenterology ~ United Digestive Care have been excellent. I had a procedure performed by Dr. Johnson today at their surgery center. The beside manner of the entire staff was excellent. Dr. Johnson took time to talk with me every step of the way. My husband also sees physicians at this practice for cancer that is in remission. His experience with Dr. Camilo has been an absolute A+!

This clinic was excellent about five years ago, with friendly, caring staff and appointments that ran on time. Since then, the practice has been acquired by a venture capital firm, and unfortunately it now feels more like a machine than a patient-centered clinic. Overall, my recent visit was acceptable, but the care felt less personal. My attending nurse seemed focused on completing tasks rather than engaging with me as a patient. The most disappointing part of the experience was the front desk interaction. The primary receptionist appeared abrupt and unwelcoming. When I approached the desk, she did not make eye contact and immediately said, “I need your insurance card and ID.” Later, when my spouse—who had been waiting in the parking lot—received a call indicating I was ready for discharge and came inside to check in, the same receptionist cut her off mid-sentence and said, “You’ll get called.” My spouse was simply trying to clarify whether that call meant she should wait or could come back. The receptionist responded in an exasperated tone, saying, “Obviously I can’t take you back right now.” To be fair, there was another patient at the counter completing paperwork, which may have contributed to the receptionist’s frustration. However, a more courteous and empathetic response would have gone a long way. While the visit itself was adequate, the overall experience left me feeling that the clinic has lost some of the warmth and attentiveness it once had. When the time comes, I will likely explore other locations.

I cannot speak more highly of my experience with them. Dr. J is about the nicest guy you’ve ever met, and I have been to three different offices and the staff at each one was exceptional. Not just good, they are friendly, down-to-earth, warm, dedicated people. When I finally had two procedures done, I was made to feel incredibly comfortable by everybody involved, and the procedure went better than I expected. I could not ask for more. Thank you so much!

The nurses are very nice and the place is very time efficient and runs like clockwork but without you feeling rushed. Dr Singh was great and explained things clearly I recommend them and would go back to them myself for another colonoscopy

Had my colonoscopy here. I recommend that if you worry about the time this takes, only schedule your appointment to be the first case at 7:00a or 7:30a. For your colonoscopy, you have will be given anesthesia (be asleep), which is the best part. Because of this I was required to have someone drive me home since you are considered under the influence afterwards. Drivers are required to stay on site because I understand they have had drivers not return. They took the necessary time to do my procedure. Dr. Singh has a calm beside manner and answered all my questions. I see from other reviews people complain about timing or being behind. I know that no 2 people are alike and this is not like getting a haircut so I am happy to know they take their time with each procedure no matter what. Have your driver bring a book, sit in the downstairs lobby or their car and by all means drivers should answer their phone even if they don't recognize the phone number. My husband said when they called him, the number didn't identify as Digestive Care for some reason.
