I was not a patient at ASLC, but the designated driver for someone having cataract surgery in the middle of the month. We arrived on time and were told that the surgery would be delayed for at least 1 1/2 hours. I thought this was terribly inconsiderate. The patient lived close enough that notice of the delay would have spared the patient - and me - wasted time, time that is hard to find when it is about a week before Christmas. Having to wait added to the patient's anxiety about the procedure, and the complex in which the office is located offered very little in the way of diversion. Speaking of location, staff had warned the patient that the office was difficult to find. They were right! It is very difficult to locate, especially because there are other medical offices with similar names in the same and abutting complexes. Rather than add signage or offer a diagram to ease locating the office, they apparently are content to let people get confused, irritated and frustrated. The patient felt the staff were great and her surgery was successful. That counts more than the pre-surgery inconvenience. But there really is no excuse for telling people their surgery will be delayed upon arrival when a text or phone call in advance would reduce the stress associated with a long wait, and would reduce or eliminate the threat that, due to the delay, the patient's designated driver might no longer be available to escort the patient home. Bottom line, a little consideration goes a long way.

Beginning with Keegan, the epitome of efficiency and organization, to Susan and Cassidy, as comforting as the warm blankets they brought, to Dr. Tom, the extremely handome anesthesiologist, (I've forgotten his last name but it rhymes with anesthesia) to the pie'ce de re'sistance, Dr. Townshend, every step of my eye surgergy was incredible due to this team. I am so grateful to them all and enjoy everyday being able to simply see. Maureen Kingston

Just had knee surgery there with Dr. Remia yesterday and just gotta say what an awesome experience it was. Surgical nursing staff , receptionist, intake, anesthesiologist, just everyone involved in my care was professional through and throughout with a bit of humor thrown into the mix. Dr. Remia is probably one of the coolest dudes out there, nicest person and most highly skilled surgeon . He put me right at ease and made me feel comfortable with the surgery and options afterwards. Kudos to everyone in that surgical center. I couldn't have asked for a better team !!!! Thank you everyone so much 👍👍👍

I had shoulder surgery with Dr Willis. The surgical team had me feeling quite confident prior to the procedure. I had no ill effects other than pronounced nausea after General anesthesia... I have no complaints! This is an excellent option if you feel you do not require a complete hospital experience.

This is the absolute worst place you could possibly get your surgery done on Cape Cod! I went there to have carpal tunnel surgery on my right wrist, and left with three broken teeth. The center didn’t even return my calls for over a week, and when they finally did they asked ME to tell THEM what happened! I was unconscious when three of my teeth were broken, under their care, and over a month later they still cannot tell me how they broke my teeth!!! They haven’t covered any expenses as well. Terrible location, terrible service. Go there at your own risk.
