Disgusting. The place is absolutely awful and has no idea what they are doing. I’ve been trying to pay a bill for months after they billed it incorrectly. They also used the incorrect health insurance information for the anesthesiologist so I got a huge $900 bill that wasn’t even correct because they do not know what they’re doing. They’re now sending me to collections when I’ve made over 4 phone calls trying to figure out how to even pay the bill. They’re do not care about their patients and I would never tell anyone to use this place.

I loved my surgeon and anesthesiologist. The pre-op nurse Codi inserted a VERY PAINFUL IV in my arm. Despite talking to her and 2 other staff, it was left where it was placed. She also made sure my husband (and caregiver) wasn’t allowed to be in the restroom to help me to collect a urine sample. I almost ripped out the horribly painful IV while trying to get toilet paper. She was there only to enforce “rules” not to help patients. It is “nurses” like her that give actual caring nurses a bad name. No wonder we have a nursing shortage in this country. I wouldn’t want to be her coworker, either. The time of my surgery was changed 3 times, and no nurse ever called to go over pre-op instructions, meds i should or should not take before surgery, etc. A nurse had to call me after hours to relay instructions . Furthermore i am diabetic. I was made to wait until almost 4 pm for my surgery. I was not allowed to drink anything from 9 am until after my surgery. I was told to check in at 12:30 , waaaaaaay more than an hour and a half before surgery because “some inconsiderate patient may cancel surgery, and that way they could do my surgery earlier.” So they put me, the actual patient, out inconsiderately instead of their precious time being possibly wasted. I will make a 6-hour journey to Denver or Salt Lake City for my next surgery. This surgery center sucks.

I hope the Dr.s and surgical staff are more professional than the office personnel. I was contacted several times via text as to what I need to do prior to my procedure, including filling out all paperwork. Under a normal visit to a specialist, my co-pay is $80. Upon arrival, the receptionist informed me that my co-pay was several hundred dollars. This information was never disclosed to me in advance. Therefore, I was not prepared to pay such a large amount. The receptionist handed me back my ID and insurance card and said they could not do my procedure without payment first. She would not respond to me when I asked why the office did not inform me of the co-pay amount ahead of time. She just again stated that they could not do my procedure. I hope this office reviews their procedure on informing patients in advance. I do understand that co-pays need to be paid. But patients should be informed in advance of the amount so they can have funds procured.

This rating is based solely on the treatment of our military veterans, and perhaps there should be a similar review for that department. There needs to be a system in place that allows our military vets to have the best care, with as little hassle as possible. Medical offices and the veterans affairs department need to have a clearly communicated process for our vets to receive care. Their paperwork should not be worded the same as people who are not vets. And, I can tell you from my having read the form in question, it really needs to be reworded regardless. It was not a straight forward question. And in this case, was not applicable to the vet that was seeking treatment. Also, since everything has gone digital, including records, why do they waste so much paper for things like current medication? They have the patient portal AND are asked 20 questions by the nurses when they are getting vitals before your appointment.

Just had shoulder surgery (SLAP tear) with Dr. Vance. Everyone made the process seamless. Thank you to the nurses for my excellent care (Nicole) and to Dr. Rice my anesthesiologist. A great team making sure my questions were addressed!
