My experience has been very different than most on here. In September 2025, I had some blood in my bowels. Not a lot. I was on blood thinners because I had a TIA, mini stroke and the Vascular Surgeon needed me on them for an upcoming surgery in October 2025. After that surgery, he needed me on them for 3 months to make sure the stent does not clot. My bleeding got worse. The 1st week of December 2025, I had lost so much blood through my bowels that I was admitted into GCMC. I was in the hospital for several days, getting my blood levels back up. Gastro Assoc could not do anything still... The 1st week of January 2026, I was back in the hospital with my heart. For 7 days. Gastro Assoc had me scheduled for the 4th of February 2026 to do the procedure on my GI. They canceled and rescheduled for the 12th of Feb. I had to go off several of my medications, (please note that I was never called to tell me what meds to go off of or when...I looked all my meds up online to find out) some a week before, some 5 days before and some the day before. On the 11th of Feb, I had done all of that, and was fasting, having clear liquids only all day long. At 3pm that day, they called and canceled the appointment for the next day. I was devastated. I had waited months, taking iron pills, etc to keep my blood up. Then I get a letter to refer me to LPG Gastro. They said the earliest they can get me in is late July 2026. 5 months away. And that is just for a consultation. I have been so jerked around by these doctors it is not fair. I am only 67, still very independent and am ready to give up!

MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT! Would give 0 stars if I could! If you have the option DO NOT GO TO Barkley Surgicenter because you are treated poorly. They stuck me 3 times and bruised me extremely bad & I’m usually an easy stick. I was a phlebotomist & believe me their skills are poor. The doc did not see me before the procedure & did not take time to explain well his findings afterwards. I had to read his notes to understand. I was called to come in early because the doctor was running ahead of schedule & yet I waited. Then I was woke up after my procedure & rushed out. I felt like a number & inconvenience to them. Will definitely never go back!!

Dr. Sharma is so knowledgeable, and compassionate. He is a true professional who has a well earned reputation by both doctors and patients. I have been to many GI doctors would only go to the best, dr. Sharma!

My husband came here for a Colonoscopy and I never want him to come back here again. The staff were cold and barely made eye contact with us. They need some major customer service training. The waiting area needs an upgrade to say the least. The chairs had no support and were broken. The waiting area restroom had no soap and when I told them about it, no-one went to fill it. Horrible experience.

I went here on 10/9/2025 for a endoscopy/biopsy. I was extremely scared, due to my medical anxiety, and was crying while in the prep bed. The nurse, Bonnie Fisher, was extremely kind and considerate when she noticed my fear and crying, and did everything within her power to make me feel better, down to even sitting across the hall from my room, watching me to make sure I was okay. I was scared of not waking up and she reassured me that I would, and she was there as soon as I did. Bonnie Fisher is one of the kindest people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting, and deserves some kind of recognition for this. The entire team was amazing, but she made me feel immensely better and deserves her flowers for this. Bonnie, if you see this, thank you for being kind in a world where people seem to forget how far that goes.
