Atherton Endoscopy Center

I had my colonoscopy yesterday at Atherton Endoscopy Center. I had a delightful and informative video visit from Dr. James Tolosis on April 8. He answered all my questions and explained the procedure. The prep instructions were excellent, the center was clean and organized, the staff was very professional and everything happened right on time. The procedure was a "piece of cake" I felt like I just took a restful nap. I had no side effects with the anaesthetic and woke up wide awake. The front desk called my ride and she was waiting for me in the waiting area.

My first colonoscopy, incredibly friendly and professional staff, detailed instructions for pre and post prep with comfortable surroundings. Once you get to the clinic after prep things get a lot easier.

They sent my biopsy sample to a lab but failed to include my insurance info, so I got a big bill from the lab. When I called, they refused to help and told me to deal with it myself. Completely unprofessional and careless. I’ve had endoscopies before and never had this issue anywhere else.

"Bait and switch"-ed during billing. saddled with surprise bill amount with no explanation with sone items showing combination of 0% coverage and somehow still in network. I see they billed outlandish several thousands with just 30 mins of visit. While i can understand medical bill gems to be high, there seems no limit to how much greed this place has, siphoning as much as possible from patient and insurance. Treatment did not go well, there was no targeted diagnosis but just try various things which has become a money pit for me. This unscrupulous place along with uscf med. should not exist and should be shuttered.

Of course would rather be reviewing a restaurant or something but yesterday was adulting and had a colonoscopy. While it's not fun it's critically important. Honestly, it's not a big deal. The staff and Dr Rengstorff were amazing. Everyone was so kind, warm, and friendly. They really make you feel safe and comfortable
